How to use the battery correctly?

The performance and service life of the battery not only depend on the structure and quality of the battery, but also closely related to its use and maintenance. The service life of the battery can reach more than 5 years and only half a year. Therefore, to prolong the service life of the battery, the correct use method should be adopted. Pay special attention to the following points when using the battery.

1. Do not use the starter continuously. The time of using the starter each time shall not exceed 5 seconds. If the starter fails to start at one time, stop for more than 15 seconds and start the second time. If the starter fails to start for three consecutive times, the battery detection equipment shall be used to find out the cause, and the starter shall be started after troubleshooting.

2. When installing and handling the battery, it shall be handled with care and shall not be knocked or dragged on the ground. The battery shall be firmly fixed in the vehicle to prevent vibration and displacement during driving.

 3. The police shall check the liquid level of battery electrolyte. If it is found that the electrolyte is insufficient, it shall be supplemented in time.

4. Regularly check the placement of the battery. If the capacity is found to be insufficient, it shall be recharged in time. The discharged battery shall be charged in time within 24 hours.

5. Frequently remove the dust and dirt on the surface of the battery. When the electrolyte splashes on the surface of the battery, wipe it with a rag dipped in 10% soda or alkaline water.

6. The battery of common vehicles shall be recharged when the discharge degree reaches 25% in winter and 50% in summer.

7. Often dredge the vent hole on the filling hole cover. Adjust the electrolyte density in time according to seasonal changes.

8. When using the battery in winter, pay attention to: Keep the battery fully charged to avoid freezing due to the reduction of electrolyte density; Make up distilled water before charging, so that distilled water can be quickly mixed with electrolyte without freezing; If the storage battery capacity is reduced in winter, preheat the generator before cold start to reduce the starting resistance moment; In winter, the temperature is low and charging is difficult. The regulating voltage of the regulator can be adjusted appropriately to improve the charging state of the battery, but it is still necessary to avoid overcharging.
